Position Overview

Join a thriving pediatric healthcare team dedicated to providing exceptional care.

  • Be part of a busy pediatric practice with extensive wait-lists, offering significant potential for professional growth.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of 2 full-time physicians and 2 Physician Assistants (PA).
  • Conduct comprehensive examinations, diagnose, and manage a variety of ENT disorders utilizing advanced minimally invasive techniques.
  • Participate in a robust airway management program supported by pediatric surgeons and pulmonary specialists.
  • Engage in a highly clinical role with opportunities for both scholarly and clinical research pursuits.
  • Perform surgical interventions including myringotomy, tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and nasal surgeries.
  • Through collaboration with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, contribute to the education and mentorship of residents, fellows, and medical students.
  • Work alongside other pediatric specialists to formulate comprehensive treatment strategies for complex cases.
  • Gain access to a state-of-the-art research and simulation center designed to replicate various patient care scenarios, enhancing the skills of both novice and experienced clinicians.
  • Serve a diverse patient population with the necessary equipment to perform a full spectrum of otolaryngology procedures.

Institution Summary: OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois stands as the third largest pediatric hospital in the state, renowned for its comprehensive services tailored for children. With 136 beds and over 140 pediatric subspecialists, the hospital is committed to delivering high-quality care to a significant number of children across Illinois.

Physician Responsibilities: The Physician is tasked with delivering compassionate, high-quality, patient-centered care while fostering positive relationships and collaborative behaviors with fellow staff physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Licenses/Certifications: Must hold a valid Physician License (or be eligible for licensure) in the current state. Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois for narcotic prescriptions, if applicable.

Board certified or board eligible in the relevant specialty(ies). Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and requisite privileges.

Eligibility as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs is essential.

The Physician must meet all qualifications for participation in OSF programs related to professional malpractice and liability coverage.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exhibit the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver patient care that aligns with the preferences, goals, and needs of the patient population served.
