SUMMARY: Located in Peoria, OSF HealthCare Children's Hospital of Illinois is the third largest pediatric hospital in Illinois and the most comprehensive hospital for kids downstate. With 136 beds and more than 140 pediatric subspecialists, OSF Children's Hospital cares for more children in Illinois than any hospital outside of Chicago. Formally established as a pediatric hospital within the walls of OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center in 1990, OSF Children's Hospital of Illinois has more than 7,000 inpatient admissions, 75,000 outpatient specialty visits, 2,400 newborn deliveries, and 18,000 emergency department visits each year. The Physician is responsible for providing compassionate, high quality, patient-centered care. Demonstrates positive working relationships and demonstrates collaborative team-oriented behaviors with: staff physicians, nurses, other departments, other members of the medical staff.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Licenses/Certifications: Physician Licensed (or eligible to be licensed) to practice medicine in current state. Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.

Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies). Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.

Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.

Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care aligned to the preferences, goals, and needs of the patients served
