Position Overview:
Parsons is on the lookout for a seasoned Lead Security Systems Specialist to engage in system assessments, design innovation, installation, and integration of advanced security technologies, network systems, and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Traveling extensively to develop, install, and integrate advanced security technologies, network systems, and applications in various international government facilities.
- Interpreting and drafting electrical, electronic, and electromechanical schematics.
- Analyzing and interpreting architectural plans (blueprints).
- Understanding AC power distribution systems and motor-generators.
- Working with motors, motor controls, disconnects, and relays.
- Managing low voltage DC electronic systems and electromechanical systems.
- Utilizing, repairing, and calibrating electronic testing equipment such as meters and oscilloscopes.
- Conducting bench repairs of electronic, electrical, and electromechanical devices at the component level.
- Handling mechanical and electromechanical locking systems, including electronic strikes and locks.
- Implementing pedestrian and vehicular access control systems, including door controls and vehicle barriers.
- Overseeing closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems, including monitors, cameras, and switchers.
- Managing Intrusion Detection Systems, including alarms, detectors, and sensors.
- Coordinating Public Address Systems, including emergency notification systems and intercoms.
- This role requires a minimum SECRET security clearance or the capability to obtain and maintain one.
- Experience with biometric systems is advantageous.
Essential Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in technical security systems.
- The candidate must be a US citizen with an active SECRET clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in technical security systems, with the ability to test and troubleshoot TSS equipment, read schematics, and perform soldering tasks.
- Upon employment, candidates will be required to complete and maintain an annual medical clearance, with screenings conducted at a US-based medical facility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with biometric systems is a plus.

Salary Range:
$49.90
This position requires a Fit for Duty examination as part of the job prerequisites. Successful completion of this examination will be mandatory post-offer acceptance before proceeding with the hiring process and onboarding.
