The Mechanical Project Engineer will report directly to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and will collaborate closely with Sales, Project Management, Purchasing, and installation teams on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Sales in developing equipment proposals by delivering engineering analysis and design insights.
  • Assist Project Managers with system commissioning and provide field support.
  • Analyze project requirements to strategize the design of components and select appropriate system elements.
  • Assess manufacturing feasibility, estimate costs, and evaluate maintenance needs for various material handling systems.
  • Create system layouts and design specific components using 2D and 3D CAD software. Products may include steel structures, sheet metal components, mechanisms, and other related items. Focus on optimizing for cost, functionality, and manufacturability.
  • Draft specifications, user manuals, and document engineering designs comprehensively.
  • Oversee and coordinate all production aspects, including the selection of manufacturing techniques and fabrication processes. Assist procurement in parts ordering and supplier selection.
  • Facilitate collaboration among different engineering disciplines, purchasing, project management, and site integration.
  • Maintain precise records and prepare various documentation, including meeting notes, letters, and technical reports that are clear and concise.
  • Determine project timelines by analyzing project plans and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project tasks.
  • Review project specifications by examining product designs, customer needs, and performance criteria.
  • Lead projects with budgets of up to 10 million USD.
