Role Summary:

We are seeking a driven and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Quality Control Inspector (2nd shift). This role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet quality standards and specifications. Responsibilities include maintaining quality and safety standards, conducting visual inspections, performing measurements and functional tests, recording data to validate compliance, and assisting with quality-related reports, reviews, and audits as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

The following outlines the primary duties and responsibilities of this position. Additional related tasks may be assigned to meet business needs.
  • Conduct inspections of purchased components, subassemblies, or finished products based on established criteria and specifications.
  • Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical inspection tools, and computerized inspection devices as required.
  • Identify and return nonconforming materials and/or products that fail to meet relevant specifications and requirements.
  • Document inspection outcomes by completing relevant inspection reports and logs.
  • Ensure measuring equipment is functioning properly by adhering to operating instructions and requesting calibrations and repairs when necessary.
  • Maintain manufacturing and inspection-related documentation.
  • Perform in-process inspections.
  • Support the quality department with reviews, reports, and audits as needed. Assist with Non-Conformance Report investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Conduct Device History Record reviews.
  • Assist in onboarding new inspectors.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment by following standard operating procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Engage in quality control/assurance activities.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, utilizing resources efficiently and effectively, and taking responsibility for personal learning needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in a quality control inspector role.
  • Proficient in the use of measuring instruments.
  • Availability to work 2nd shift.
  • Willingness to work some weekends based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, self-motivation, flexibility, attention to detail, and a professional demeanor.
  • Legible handwriting is essential.
