Job Overview:

The primary objective of this role is to equip prospective clients with comprehensive information regarding our facility through proactive outreach, discussions, educational initiatives, and follow-up efforts. This position aims to achieve or surpass optimal occupancy levels by boosting inquiries and expanding our referral network. The focus is on cultivating new business opportunities while ensuring the retention of existing clientele and identifying unique marketing prospects that remain unaddressed within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Initiatives:

Conduct outreach to healthcare professionals, senior organizations, relevant interest groups, hospital personnel, and other community stakeholders. Build and sustain relationships to inform them about bed availability and services, effectively addressing the community's daily needs.

Maintain constant awareness of bed availability. Ensure timely and appropriate responses to inquiries, demonstrating urgency regarding occupancy and premium mix management.

Analyze inquiry, admission, and occupancy trends as part of a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process. Prepare and submit various reports, including the Monthly Inquiry Summary Report, daily inquiry logs, and sales tracking reports to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.

Gather information from referral sources and clients in a professional and courteous manner.

Facility Coordination:

Collaborate with the Administrator to train and coordinate in-house staff who will serve as primary contacts for inquiries, tours, admissions, and related paperwork.

Maintain a strong working relationship with the Director of Nursing, Facility Controller, and Administrator to ensure efficient decision-making regarding prospective admissions.

Regulatory Knowledge:

Stay informed about federal and state regulations and reimbursement processes (Medicare and Medicaid). Possess a solid understanding of managed care referral procedures.

Competitive Analysis:

Monitor competitor activities, including their programs, contracts, and occupancy rates. Maintain a database of medical contacts and community resources, along with insights into industry trends and legislative issues, sharing this information with facility staff and community partners.

Marketing Collateral:

Assist in the creation of facility materials such as brochures, press releases, and advertisements that highlight our services. Organize and execute special events and presentations aimed at educating the community and establishing the facility as a leader in skilled nursing and rehabilitation care.

Additional Responsibilities:

Participate in the Leadership Council to enhance facility and community relations, attend regular meetings, and assist in the implementation of marketing strategies while monitoring budgets and outcomes.

Customer Experience:

Evaluate customer satisfaction levels among various audiences, including new admissions, current residents, and community inquiries. Share findings with management and develop action plans as necessary.

Committee Involvement:

Engage in company committees as requested.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

This role involves working in a climate-controlled environment, requiring physical activities such as walking, reaching, and lifting. The position may expose the individual to infectious diseases, necessitating adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in healthcare sales or community relations is preferred. Strong presentation and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to listen effectively. Familiarity with reimbursement programs and proficiency in computer skills are advantageous.

Self-motivation, independence, and goal orientation are critical for success in this role. A background in sales training and team building is beneficial. The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, is required.
