North Mississippi Health Services is in search of a dedicated Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care.

Position Overview & Responsibilities
  • Specialty: Occupational Therapist Assistant

Supervisory Duties:
* Assigns tasks to Technicians as needed.

Clinical Responsibilities:
* Maintains productivity levels in line with departmental goals.
* Assesses and develops treatment plans for patients referred to Occupational Therapy.
* Ensures proficiency in areas such as Standardized testing, Therapeutic exercises, Activities of Daily Living (ADL) training, Cognitive skills, and Wheelchair transfers.
* Participates in and provides ongoing educational training.
* Acts as a mentor for new staff members or volunteers.
* Serves as a clinical instructor for OTA students after gaining one year of clinical experience.
* Completes documentation in accordance with all regulations and in a timely manner.

Budget Management:
* Adheres to monthly budgetary constraints when procuring equipment and supplies.
* Ensures timely and accurate billing for patient treatments and equipment.

Additional Requirements:
* Proficient in computer usage for documentation and billing purposes.

Qualifications:
* Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
* Current state License as per facility requirements.
* CPR certification is mandatory.
* Demonstrated competency in assessment and treatment across various age groups, including Neonates/Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics.
