As a part of your role, you will:
- Delegate responsibilities to Technicians.
Your clinical duties will include:
- Maintaining productivity levels in accordance with departmental targets.
- Evaluating and developing treatment plans for patients referred to Occupational Therapy.
- Staying proficient in areas such as Standardized testing, Therapeutic exercise, Activities of Daily Living (ADL) training, Cognitive skills, and Wheelchair transfers.
- Participating in and delivering ongoing educational training sessions.
- Acting as a mentor for new staff members or volunteers.
- Serving as a clinical instructor for OTA students after gaining one year of clinical experience.
- Completing documentation in compliance with all regulations and in a timely manner.
In this role, you will also be responsible for:
- Adhering to the monthly budget when procuring equipment and supplies.
- Ensuring patients are charged appropriately and promptly for treatments and equipment.
To be successful in this position, you must:
- Possess an Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Hold a valid state License based on the facility's location.
- Be certified in CPR.
- Demonstrate competency in assessing and treating various age groups, including Neonates/Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics.
