Position Overview:

Job Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:
  • Maintain productivity levels in accordance with departmental targets.
  • Assess and develop treatment plans for patients referred to Occupational Therapy.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in standardized testing, therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADL) training, cognitive skills, and wheelchair transfers.
  • Participate in and provide ongoing education and training sessions.
  • Act as a mentor for new staff members or volunteers.
  • Serve as a clinical instructor for Occupational Therapy Assistant students after gaining one year of clinical experience.
  • Ensure timely and compliant documentation as per regulations.

Financial Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to the monthly budget for ordering necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Process patient charges accurately and promptly for treatments and equipment.

Technical Skills:
  • Competence in computer usage for documentation and billing purposes is essential.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current state license in accordance with facility regulations.
  • Certification in CPR is required.
  • Demonstrated competency in assessing and treating various age groups, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
