Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Associate Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on solar racking systems and related engineering projects. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced engineers to conduct essential calculations, analyses, and documentation necessary for the design of solar energy structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural design calculations adhering to local building codes for large-scale photovoltaic power installations.
  • Utilize advanced Structural Analysis software and tools for various engineering tasks, including finite element analysis and optimization.
  • Generate design documentation for customer qualification and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop engineering calculation templates and review CAD construction drawings.
  • Participate in technical design review meetings, providing insights and recommendations.

Travel Requirements:
This position may require up to 5% travel, including potential training periods in various locations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Up to 2 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of programming (VBA, Matlab, etc.) and familiarity with CAD software.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with solar racking structures, particularly solar trackers.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil Structural Engineering.
  • Understanding of US building codes and standards.
  • Experience with finite element analysis software.

Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this position is competitive and based on experience and qualifications.
