Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Structural Plans Review Engineer to join our Community Planning and Development team. This role is essential for ensuring that construction projects meet safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough evaluations of architectural and structural construction documents to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Analyze engineering calculations and provide clear communication regarding any design or construction deficiencies.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including design professionals and contractors, to clarify permit application processes and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in design coordination meetings to facilitate the development process and address any challenges that arise.
• Assist field inspectors with complex code compliance inquiries and provide guidance on plan review comments.
• Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that enhance the effectiveness of the review process.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• A minimum of five years of relevant design experience across various building types and structural materials.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proven time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
• Understanding of building codes and the ability to enforce compliance effectively.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field is required, along with a Professional Engineer (PE) license or Architect registration.
