Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field Technician to join our team at Anchor Engineering Inc. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for observing and documenting constructed structural elements to ensure conformance with structural construction documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to project sites to observe and identify constructed structural elements.
  • Take thorough and accurate notes and job site photographs to document construction status.
  • Learn to observe and identify constructed structural elements to ensure conformance with structural construction documents.
  • Perform site observations with limited supervision, generate site observation reports, and review data before submission to the Project Manager for approval.
  • Acquire strong knowledge of standard construction materials and practices.
  • Gain general knowledge of engineering terminology and basic engineering concepts.
  • Develop the ability to read and interpret construction documents, including architectural and structural plans, details, sections, general notes, and project specifications.
  • Achieve proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam for effective communication through written and limited drawn media.
  • Apply prescribed techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasks.
  • Responsible for attending training opportunities.
  • Exemplify company vision, mission, and values.
  • Advocate for self and coordinate with project staff and management in a timely manner.
  • Perform any other duties as deemed appropriate or necessary by the Management Team.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • This job operates outside, in a field environment. While working in the field, will be exposed to extreme weather conditions, including rain, snow, cold, and heat. Routinely uses PPE and other safety equipment.
  • Ability to walk around construction sites with uneven and varying terrain.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Requirements
  • 0-3 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Fluency in Spanish is desirable but not required.
