Electrical Superintendent Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our team at Carrix, Inc./SSA Marine, Inc. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems, as well as overseeing the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical System Management: Ensure that all electrical systems are properly maintained, inspected, and repaired to prevent downtime and ensure safe operation.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the work of electrical maintenance personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Vendor Management: Work with electrical vendors to secure supply and cost objectives, and ensure that all electrical equipment is properly installed and maintained.
  • Cost Control: Evaluate and control all electrical maintenance costs to ensure that they are within budget.
  • Training and Development: Provide training to electrical maintenance personnel to improve their skills and performance.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all electrical systems and equipment are in compliance with relevant safety regulations and codes.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance and supervision, with a strong background in electrical systems and equipment.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including PLCs, motor controls, and industrial automation; excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Competitive Salary: $105,000 - $140,000 per year.
