Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our physicians and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Registration and Scheduling
    • Register patients for appointments and procedures
    • Schedule surgeries, ancillary services, and follow-up appointments
    • Verify patient insurance information and update records as necessary
  • Front Office Operations
    • Manage front office operations, including patient flow and waiting area
    • Coordinate patient movement and report any issues or irregularities
    • Maintain a clean and organized front office environment
  • Financial Transactions
    • Process patient payments and handle cash transactions
    • Verify and post payments to patient accounts
    • Balance cash drawer and prepare daily cash deposits
  • Insurance and Billing
    • Process insurance claims and follow up with patients and payers
    • Verify and update patient insurance information
    • Assist with billing and coding processes
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff
    • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff
    • Respond to patient inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred
  • No prior experience required; multi-specialty group practice experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of ICD-9 and CPT coding preferred

Work Environment

This is a non-management role that will report to a supervisor or manager. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
