Join Our Team as a Collections Specialist

Alera Group is seeking a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for working with our producers, account managers, and managing partner to secure financing on agency bill accounts. Your goal will be to collect funds in a timely manner, process electronic check payments, and wire payments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with finance companies to ensure timely and accurate completion of forms
  • Record wires, log finance agreements on a spreadsheet, and file agreements in a document management system
  • Record daily payments accurately in our agency management system
  • Scan checks for deposit via remote deposit process
  • Reconcile accounts as needed by management, coworkers, or clients
  • Print monthly installments for the agency
  • Work receivables weekly
  • Set up payment plans if applicable and obtain approval from management
  • Keep account notes up to date on the receivable file
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2-5 years of related experience helpful but not required
  • Proficiency in office systems, Microsoft, and Outlook
