Job Summary:

The Payor Recovery Specialist plays a crucial role in the Financial Services department at State University of New York Upstate Medical University. Under the guidance of the Manager of A/R Follow Up, this individual is responsible for reviewing large and small balance open accounts receivable and obtaining correct reimbursement from multiple payor sources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough follow-up and analysis for large scale collection projects with multiple payors

• Communicate effectively with various internal departments to ensure timely resolution of accounts

• Collaborate with the Financial Services Management Team on special projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• Minimum of two years' experience in healthcare billing or a related field

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong PC skills

• Working knowledge of billing and collection processes

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm
