Gray Tier Technologies LLC is looking for a Cybersecurity Systems Officer to provide essential support for a new client and mission focused on delivering cybersecurity solutions for Department of Energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and formulate cybersecurity strategies to tackle ongoing and emerging challenges.
  • Document all cybersecurity procedures thoroughly.
  • Conduct evaluations of processes.
  • Offer suggestions for enhancements to existing processes.
  • Carry out Assessment and Authorization and/or Risk Management Framework tasks as required.
  • Assist the Authorizing Official (AO) and Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in creating and maintaining cybersecurity documentation.
  • Support the AO and ISSM in developing corrective action plans, obtaining approvals, and monitoring the execution of corrective actions using designated tools.
  • Respond to information requests.
  • Engage in and support various projects.
  • Provide expert guidance on Cybersecurity Governance policies and enterprise standards, including reviewing and commenting on governance-related matters through established processes.
  • Utilize specified eGRC tools to collect and present pertinent data for reporting, including Archer dashboards for performance evaluation metrics where applicable.
  • Display cybersecurity metrics, inspection data, and enterprise risk management indicators through dashboards for enhanced situational awareness.
  • Evaluate the enforcement of cybersecurity policies focused on oversight and governance by federal personnel at relevant sites.
  • Assess compliance with site-specific cybersecurity policy implementations.
  • Maintain a Cybersecurity Improvement Plan that includes approved mitigations; participate in self-assessments and surveys; implement and monitor corrective action plans for all findings that require reporting.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 4 - 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2 - 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with Archer.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher.
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-37, CNSSI 1253, FIPS 199, and NIST SP 800-53.
  • Understanding of RMF accreditation processes.
  • Ability to develop metrics, documentation, presentations, and procedures, and communicate results effectively.
  • Experience in auditing security controls.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Monitoring practices.
  • Experience in scanning and interpreting results from security scans.
  • Familiarity with STIGs and SRGs.
  • Understanding of Common Control Processes.
  • Project Management capabilities.
  • Technical Writing proficiency.
  • Strong customer service skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Possession of Q or TS Clearance.
  • CISSP certification to be obtained within 6 months.
