Position Overview:

As a Lead Systems Architect at Arka Service, you will play a crucial role in all stages of system development, from initial proposal discussions to final design, production, assembly, integration, verification, and delivery, while providing technical guidance and leadership to diverse product teams.

Key Responsibilities:

This position does not include direct reports; however, you will oversee and guide project-specific teams of engineers engaged in design, development, assembly, and testing. Your specific duties will encompass:

  • Assessing and refining customer requirements, aiding business development in identifying potential opportunities for future contracts.
  • Creating the overarching system architecture for mission solutions, which includes optical and electronic design specifications, on-board processing criteria, platform interfaces, and Concept of Operations (CONOPS).
  • Defining, executing, and supervising system design evaluations.
  • Acting as the primary technical liaison with customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Leading program teams, collaborating with various engineering disciplines and program management to formulate system design concepts and cascade system requirements to lower-level assemblies and components.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations for formal design reviews and client meetings.
  • Defining and spearheading internal Research & Development projects.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, or a related discipline.
  • At least 12 years of relevant professional experience (or a Master's degree with 10+ years), including:
    • Breaking down complex systems into logical components and developing necessary error budgets and requirements traceability.
    • Evaluating and defining the optical, mechanical, electrical, and environmental inputs into a system and their impact on overall compliance with requirements.
    • Program planning, including scope definition, resource allocation, and budgeting.
    • Strong technical writing skills, encompassing proposal content, requirements specifications, verification matrices, verification plans, and verification reports.
    • Development of CONOPS.
    • Technical leadership of cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience with solutions for spaceborne missions.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is competitive and will be determined based on individual qualifications and experience.

Environmental Health and Safety Requirements:

While performing the duties of this role, the employee must be able to communicate effectively, listen, interpret instructions, occasionally operate tools and machinery, and remain stationary for extended periods. The employee will utilize protective equipment when necessary and may need to lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.

Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of pre-employment requirements.
