Job Title: Assistant Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our team at Mount Washington Preschool and Child Care Center. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the classroom and providing a safe, positive, and engaging environment for our children, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the classroom teacher in planning and implementing educational activities and programs.
  • Assist with supervising and interacting with children in a warm and positive way.
  • Develop and provide developmentally and culturally appropriate activities for children.
  • Implement conflict management and problem-solving strategies with children and adults.
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff members.
Requirements:
  • Verification of high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 6 units of Child Development with a grade of C or higher.
  • Immunizations (Measles, Pertussis, Influenza) and TB Clearance.
  • Ability to successfully pass fingerprint clearances (State Criminal History, FBI, and CACI).
  • Valid California Driver's License or California Identification Card.
  • Basic Computer Skills.
