Fruit Of The Vine Child Development Center is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for the overall direction and supervision of our preschool program, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for our children to grow and develop.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and monitor the safety and well-being of children at all times
- Ensure compliance with Title 5 and Title 22 regulations
- Develop and implement daily curriculum plans
- Record and track child development through observation and assessment
- Mentor and coach new teaching staff and assistants
- Model developmentally appropriate behavior management strategies
- Perform care-related duties such as meal preparation, cleaning, and maintenance
- Plan and assign tasks for assistant teachers and volunteers
- Attend meetings and training workshops to maintain professional competence
- Follow center policies and procedures
- Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program
- Current Child Development Master Teacher Permit or equivalent
- Knowledge of Title 5 and Title 22 Regulations
- Proven experience in curriculum development and implementation
- Current TB test and physical exam
- Current Pediatric First Aid/CPR Certification
- Current Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training Certification
- Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check
- Valid California Driver's License and clean DMV record
