Assistant HR Director Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant HR Director to join our team at DHR Global. As a key member of our human resources department, you will play a critical role in shaping our workplace culture and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement human resources policies, procedures, and programs to support our business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues, performance management, and compliance with employment laws.
  • Lead investigations into claims of harassment, discrimination, and workplace violence, and develop recommendations for resolution.
  • Drive positive cultural initiatives and programs to promote a vibrant and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Develop and facilitate HR training programs for managers and employees on topics such as performance management, respectful workplace, and employee training and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with the Director of HR to develop and manage employee compensation programs, including wage structures, promotions, and merit and/or performance adjustment processes.
  • Participate in organizational staffing and succession management initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, business, or organizational behavior or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR Generalist experience in a food manufacturing environment, supporting a headcount of at least 100 employees.
  • 5+ years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Expert knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to build a business case.
