Job Description

Southwire Company, LLC is a leading manufacturer of wire and cable products, seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and processes, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Management: Develop and implement quality management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015, UL, and CSA standards.
  • Process Improvement: Lead quality improvement efforts, using problem-solving tools to resolve quality issues and achieve stable and predictable process results.
  • Quality Control: Direct the work performed by quality technicians, establishing and directing daily activities, assigning projects, and monitoring progress.
  • Training and Development: Assist in the training and development of personnel relative to defect root cause analysis and quality-related studies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers, manufacturing departments, and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or physical sciences.
  • Experience: 3-7 years of quality experience, demonstrating initiative, detail orientation, technical skills, and communication skills.
  • Certifications: ASQ CQE or ability to obtain within two years.
  • Skills: Microsoft Office, especially Excel, SAP, UL, CSA, and Lean experience a plus.
