Position Summary:
This role is essential in overseeing the daily operations of quality technicians to ensure product quality adheres to all relevant UL, CSA, and specific customer standards. You will collaborate with management to devise engineering solutions for quality-related challenges and implement quality control protocols at the manufacturing level.

Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are integral to this position, although this list is not exhaustive:

  • Supervise the activities of quality technicians, assigning projects and monitoring their progress.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant ISO, UL, CSA, industry standards, and unique customer requirements.
  • Manage the daily application of the Quality Management System, including Corrective Action Systems, Document Control, Calibration, and Training.
  • Lead initiatives for quality enhancement using problem-solving methodologies to address quality issues and achieve consistent process outcomes.
  • Assist in the formulation of projects aimed at error-proofing processes and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Gather and analyze production and defect data to conduct various quality-related studies.
  • Support the training and development of staff in defect root cause analysis.

Software Proficiency:
Familiarity with various software platforms such as SAP, Advaris, and QCBD is required. You will also be responsible for creating Quality Test Plans in Advaris and collaborating with suppliers on quality concerns.

Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Physical Sciences is required.
Certification:
ASQ CQE certification or the ability to obtain it within two years is preferred.
Experience:
3-7 years of quality experience demonstrating initiative, attention to detail, technical problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential.

Training in ISO 9001:2015 is advantageous, as is experience with SAP, UL, CSA, and Lean methodologies.
