Job OverviewWe are currently seeking a Business Development Executive to enhance our operations.
In this role, you will:
Serve as a strategic partner and business developer, concentrating on expanding market presence by identifying and securing new sales from competitively held target accounts, as well as exploring new opportunities and nurturing existing accounts. Formulate effective strategies for managing and increasing revenue while executing a business plan to meet quotas and product mix objectives. You will be accountable for achieving financial sales goals.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, architecture, interior design, marketing, communication, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in consultative B2B sales with a proven track record of generating revenue and achieving sales targets.
- Demonstrated success in identifying and cultivating new business opportunities.
- Ability to provide sales coverage without relocation assistance.
- Experience in the contract office furniture industry or a closely related field.
- Strong prospecting skills to initiate contact and develop new business opportunities with end-user clients.
- Exceptional sales planning abilities, including research, strategic analysis, problem-solving, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Advanced selling techniques, including prospect qualification, lead generation, new business development, account penetration, consultative selling, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and listening skills to effectively influence the target audience.
- Proven capability to establish, nurture, and maintain professional relationships.
- Strong networking abilities to generate leads and develop new business connections.
- Outstanding organizational, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated integrity and strong business ethics.
- Financial literacy and solid business acumen.
- Self-motivated and self-directed, with a willingness to take responsibility for outcomes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment at all organizational levels.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends to attend networking and social events to uncover new business opportunities.
- Capability to travel daily within the assigned territory to meet clients, dealers, and influencers, with occasional overnight travel as necessary.
- Proficiency in utilizing office automation, communication software, and tools relevant to the Haworth office environment, including CRM technology.
