Position Summary:

This position is crucial in defining the supply planning framework. You will take charge of managing procurement orders and inventory transfers to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain operation. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to pinpoint inefficiencies, suggest improvements, remain informed about inventory management systems, and collaborate effectively with various departments. This role requires close cooperation with diverse teams and suppliers to enhance processes and minimize expenses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guarantee the timely availability of materials and resolve any shortages.
  • Formulate plans and metrics to evaluate performance and sustain a consistent supply of materials.
  • Lead strategic initiatives in supply planning and promote best practices throughout the organization.
  • Supervise the supply planning team, establish objectives, provide feedback, and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Issue procurement orders and inventory transfers for standard items across our network.
  • Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders and drive effective product life cycle modifications.
  • Examine supply planning processes, identify challenges, and recommend solutions.
  • Set safety stock benchmarks, monitor compliance, and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Work with teams to address issues and keep stakeholders updated.
  • Implement initiatives to improve inventory performance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain management.
  • A collaborative team player with a solid understanding of supply chain dynamics.
  • Experience in Operations Manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with supply chain best practices.
  • Experience in change management.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work across different functions.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • APICS certification is advantageous.
  • Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence methodologies preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP is essential.
