Key Responsibilities
  • Forecast project costs and gross profit for each monthly close
  • Coordinate with the Chief of Civil/Concrete Estimating for estimate and bid support
  • Develop project budgets based on current estimates and proposals
  • Approve vendor and subcontractor invoices
  • Develop Schedule of Values (SOV) and ensure timely Owner payments
  • Estimate and quote extra work and document changes
  • Ensure project controls such as safety forms, work plans, submittals, RFI's, logs, and documents are organized and complete
  • Work with the project team to develop project and look-ahead schedules
  • Communicate project goals with field leadership and coordinate planning efforts
  • Draft and submit project correspondence to document risk-related issues
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum five years of relevant work experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to interact with and develop effective working relationships with a wide range of people
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft 365

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The majority of work is completed outside at the construction site and in an office trailer where the project is monitored and daily decisions are made about construction activities. The position is often exposed to sounds and loud noises, such as construction equipment. The job requires the wearing of protective equipment when on the construction site.
