Position Overview:
As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing the essential information required to ensure project completion on schedule, within budget, and to the quality standards outlined in the contract documents.


Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison with Architects, Subcontractors, Consultants, Suppliers, Inspectors, and other Turner personnel, as well as Owner's Representatives, to address issues related to plans and specifications.
- Oversee and make informed decisions regarding contract drawings and subcontract information.
- Ensure that all drawings and specifications align with the project estimate.
- Manage the project budget effectively.
- Supervise the preparation and review of submittals and shop drawings.
- Assess compliance with contract specifications and resolve any discrepancies in interpretation.
- Negotiate Change Orders and manage information related to changes in the work, including obtaining estimates from subcontractors and securing approvals from the Architect and Owner.
- Oversee the project close-out process, ensuring the preparation of final records such as Requests for Information (RFIs), close-out documentation, warranties, as-builts, and Operations and Maintenance manuals (O&Ms).
- Supervise Assistant Engineers, Engineering Assistants, and Interns, providing input on performance evaluations.
- Prepare Scope of Work documents for various trades and develop reports on General Conditions Items, labor, safety, Change Order logs, and Quality Control.
- Schedule and manage subcontractor trade coordination meetings, preconstruction meetings, and submittal review meetings.


Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree coupled with a minimum of four years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in computer applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with advanced technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and LEAN methodologies.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
