Front Desk Agent Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our team at Ashland Hills Hotel. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely information and services in a courteous manner, ensuring an exceptional guest experience from check-in to check-out.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and Check Guests In/Out: Efficiently and professionally check guests in and out, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
  • Process Guest Payments: Process guest payments and obtain necessary identification, maintaining a secure and accurate environment.
  • Communicate and Fulfill Special Requests: Communicate and fulfill special guest requests, providing exceptional service and exceeding expectations.
  • Respond to Guest Inquiries: Respond to guest inquiries promptly and positively, providing accurate and helpful information.
  • Manage and Resolve Guest Complaints: Manage and resolve guest complaints professionally and courteously, ensuring a positive outcome.
  • Answer Phone Calls: Answer phone calls promptly and route them appropriately, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Promote Hotel Amenities: Promote hotel amenities, events, and special packages, encouraging guests to take advantage of our offerings.
  • Communicate with Other Shifts: Communicate effectively with other shifts, ensuring seamless transitions and a smooth operation.
  • Complete Daily Checklist Tasks: Complete daily checklist tasks, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Handle Cash Transactions: Handle cash transactions accurately, maintaining a secure and accurate environment.
  • Post Charges to Guest Accounts: Post charges to guest accounts, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
  • Reconcile Shift Transactions: Reconcile shift transactions and prepare cash drops, maintaining a secure and accurate environment.
  • Drive Company Vehicles: Drive company vehicles as needed, maintaining a safe and responsible operation.
  • Manage Guest Mail and Messages: Manage guest mail, messages, and wake-up calls, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
  • Perform Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned, maintaining a flexible and adaptable attitude.
