Position Overview:


Join the movement for a sustainable future with Ampact as an Environmental Solutions Project Leader.

As a key player in the Climate Impact Corps, you will be instrumental in promoting local ecological initiatives. Together, we can tackle climate challenges and foster healthier, more resilient communities.


In this role, you will collaborate with a nonprofit organization or public agency dedicated to environmental conservation. Your service will involve planning and executing projects aimed at helping communities adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change. You will significantly enhance the outreach and effectiveness of site services while addressing the needs of the community.


Become part of our AmeriCorps team and contribute to the next generation of environmental advocates. We are actively seeking dedicated individuals for this impactful role.

Your Responsibilities:

Receive comprehensive training, professional development, and continuous support from our team.

Engage in outreach and educational activities by sharing your knowledge and experiences.

Contribute to projects such as:
- Planting and cataloging trees
- Designing and overseeing nursery gravel beds
- Conducting assessments for solar opportunities, both virtually and on-site
- Installing energy-efficient materials
- Organizing sustainability initiatives

What You Need to Know:

Our members come from diverse backgrounds, and anyone with a passion for making a difference can become a Project Leader. To qualify, you should meet the following criteria:

- Reliable with a proven track record of good attendance
- Capable of understanding and following directions
- Able to maintain a service schedule based on agreed hours
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), internet navigation, data entry, email communication, database management, and videoconferencing
- Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
- At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
- A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States

Benefits Package:


While you contribute to meaningful change, you will receive a bi-weekly stipend along with additional benefits. As part of the AmeriCorps program, you will enjoy both federally provided and program-specific benefits.


Federal Benefits include:
- Up to $ in Education Award
- Segal AmeriCorps Education Award, applicable for tuition or qualified student loan repayment. Individuals aged 55 and older may transfer their award to a family member.
- Federal student loan forbearance and interest repayment options.
- Time accrual toward retirement benefits.

Program Specific Benefits based on weekly hours commitment:

For 40 Hours:
- $1100 stipend paid bi-weekly.
- Individual health insurance with 100% of the monthly premium covered.
- Child care assistance based on family size and income.

For 25 Hours:
- $650 stipend paid bi-weekly.
