Overview:

Our client, a prominent player in the wireless technology sector, is in search of a dedicated Product Development Engineer specializing in SATCOM to enhance their innovative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and enhancement of satellite communication amplifiers, utilizing expertise in RF power amplifier circuits, MMICs, GaN, and LDMOS technologies.
  • Conduct thorough simulations, schematic designs, PCB layouts, and prototype testing, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality benchmarks.
  • Facilitate design reviews, troubleshoot technical challenges, and propose cutting-edge solutions to elevate product performance and dependability.
  • Prepare detailed documentation for new products, including specifications, drawings, and sketches, to streamline prototype and serial manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to define product requirements, manage project timelines, and guarantee successful product launches within budgetary limits.
  • Assist the US VP of Military Programs in identifying and pursuing new business avenues in radar, electronic warfare, and communications sectors.
  • Ensure adherence to US military specifications and standards throughout the product development lifecycle, securing the reliability of SATCOM solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the RF/Microwave industry, focusing on the design, assembly, and testing of RF power amplifiers for military applications.
  • Proficient in RF/MW semiconductor circuit techniques, including GaAs, GaN, LDMOS, and MMIC technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Class AB power amplifiers and their applications in telecommunications, radar, high-frequency, and jamming systems.
  • Experience with microwave simulation tools such as ADS and proficiency in schematic and PCB layout software (e.g., PADS) and 3D modeling/CAD tools is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of signal processing using cavity and digital filters is desirable.
  • US citizenship or Green card holder status is required due to the nature of defense-related projects.
