We are a full-service, upscale casual restaurant located in Columbia, MD. We pride ourselves on using fresh and local ingredients to create innovative dishes from scratch.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency in our kitchen.

Job Responsibilities
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among kitchen staff, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
  • Implement and enforce established cooking procedures and recipes, ensuring adherence to high standards.
  • Develop and engage culinary staff members to ensure consistency, food safety, and recipe adherence.
  • Manage food and labor costs effectively, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Provide training and supervision to kitchen staff as required, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Maintain strong relationships with all departments, ensuring seamless collaboration and exceptional guest experience.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a kitchen management role at a full-service restaurant.
  • Possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate culinary staff.
  • Experience with kitchen management systems and menu planning is essential.
