Lead Culinary Operations at California Dreaming Restaurant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Director to join our team at California Dreaming Restaurant, a part of CentraArchy Restaurants. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented culinary professional to lead our kitchen operations and drive excellence in food quality, service, and overall guest experience.

About the Role:

  • To create and maintain a clean, professional, and educational environment in the kitchen, ensuring a positive work atmosphere for all staff.
  • Making decisions that consistently benefit guests, employees, and the organization, fostering a culture of accountability and high standards.
  • Cultivating hourly employees through coaching and development, unlocking their potential and promoting growth within the organization.

Fostering Business Growth:

  • Prioritizing menu development and execution, guaranteeing timely and consistent delivery of exceptional quality food.
  • Elevating guest satisfaction through superior food quality standards, as well as adhering to CENTRAARCHY BOH protocols.
  • Safeguarding a safe and sanitary work environment by maintaining compliance with health department regulations.
  • Continuously refining menus according to the restaurant concept and direction, leveraging expertise to enhance offerings.

Building a Strong Team:

  • Establishing comprehensive training programs for employees, focusing on issues specific to their roles.
  • Nurturing effective staffing levels to meet or surpass budgeted labor percentages, emphasizing efficiency and productivity.
  • Conducting annual performance reviews for all back-of-house employees, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.

Driving Results:

  • Monitoring daily labor reports to minimize overtime and optimize resource allocation.
  • Ensuring accurate employee files and documentation of performance, reflecting organizational values and standards.
  • Effectively managing costs across various areas to meet or exceed budget targets.
  • Routinely conducting physical food inventory assessments to ensure efficient product use and minimize waste.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive culinary management experience in reputable restaurants.
  • Prior success in leading busy kitchens, particularly in expo roles.
  • Experience in hiring, training, and mentoring salaried managers and hourly staff, driving growth and improvement.
  • Strong financial acumen, demonstrated through successful cost control, labor management, and bottom-line profitability.
  • The ability to motivate diverse culinary teams to achieve exceptional results.

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience), based on industry standards and taking into account the demands of this leadership position.
