Job Summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a highly skilled Research Project Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing research programs, including project planning, identifying funding sources, and preparing grant proposals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scientific research or public health, excellent communication skills, and the ability to attend meetings, take detailed notes, and follow up by translating those notes into actionable items or strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research Program Development: Develop and implement research programs, including project planning, identifying funding sources, and preparing grant proposals.
  • Project Management: Manage timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations for multiple projects.
  • Communication: Communicate the feasibility of study involvement and participation with Principal Investigators, and prepare presentations for both expert and lay audiences.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Principal Investigators and other research team members to develop and implement research programs.
  • Funding and Grants: Identify and pursue funding opportunities, and prepare grant proposals for submission to national and international funding agencies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal and local agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and local Institutional Review Board.
  • Research Operations: Manage research operations, including coordinating research activities, managing research budgets, and ensuring compliance with research regulations.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 7 years of working experience in scientific research or public health.
  • Skills: Strong technical writing abilities, experience in writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Background in Scientific Research: Understanding or background in scientific research or public health.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills to oversee and coordinate multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with NIH: Familiarity with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and its processes.
