Job Description

Are you a motivated and creative professional looking to build a rewarding career in the IT and Telecom industry? Venture Talent Consulting is seeking a highly organized and effective individual to join our team as a Physical Security Solutions Architect.

Job Overview

The Physical Security Solutions Architect will work closely with the Sales and Capture Team to develop technical design solutions that meet the customer's needs and add value to both the application and the relationship. This role requires a strong understanding of access control, CCTV, and other physical security systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review provided criteria and existing integration technology to develop best-in-class design solutions
  • Perform site evaluations to ensure detailed design criteria is not overlooked
  • Utilize existing data and as-built information for effective planning and design
  • Generate design documents that effectively support the proposal message
  • Develop well-structured and descriptive scopes of work that meet customer needs
  • Design and compile pricing proposals with strong content for a complete and accurate system
  • Represent the delivery concept and technical fulfillment at a comprehensive level at each engagement
  • Promote Centric Selling and develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Set up and run peer checks, P&L reviews, and support capture meetings
  • Develop drawings for proposals and delivery

Channel & Manufacturers

  • Obtain vendor certifications and develop relationships with vendor reps for technical unity and best-selling practices
  • Meet with vendor reps to discuss competitive pricing schemes, the latest innovation, and marketplace direction
  • Register opportunities to strengthen the obligation of commitment and for price guarantees
  • Attend and support trade events to stay up-to-date on industry trends
  • Exchange lead information with internal and external stakeholders

Delivery

  • Subject matter expert – support technical requirements and training during implementation phase
  • Metrics: project margin, material cost savings, implementation time savings, strong handoff content

Requirements

  • Professional, highly organized, and effective with personal time management
  • Understands critical importance of customer service and provides exceptional support
  • Team player with ability to develop effective working relationships with others as needed for high performance in the position as a key contributing member
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently as a part of a cross-functional team, providing sales, engineering, capture, project manager, operations, and admin support as required
  • Proactive and professional communication skills. Ability to communicate in a direct, concise manner in both verbal and written interactions
  • Ability to manage expectations of internal and external customers, and keep them informed
  • Advanced technical writing skills
  • Proactive and results-oriented
  • Understands estimating of all aspects of cable plants and related systems
  • Desire to continuously and aggressively improve at a personal and professional level
  • Achieves objectives through limited supervision
  • Timely responses to appropriate inquiries
  • Able to receive constructive feedback
  • Ability to create internal and external raving fans of both Venture Talent Consulting and the Capture & Pre-Sales Engineering team

Qualifications:

  • CSEIP certified desired
  • 3-5 years of experience specific to the job responsibilities
  • Experience in Estimating Converged Technologies such as AV, CCTV, Access Control/Physical Security, CCTV
  • 5 years estimating technical projects with proven track record of successful and profitable project completion for medium to large size companies
  • Experience with rollout projects a plus
  • Independent, self-driven, highly customer focused and able to work under minimum supervision
