About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant II to join our North America Record to Report (RTR) Accounting team at Trane Technologies plc. As a key member of our Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) organization, you will report directly to a RTR Accounting Manager and be responsible for providing financial information by researching and analyzing accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial information by researching and analyzing accounts
  • Assist in month-end close duties, including preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and Trane Technologies financial policies and practices
  • Support NA Revenue to Margin Team processes, including inventory and cost accounting, revenue recognition, and bookings and backlog
  • Review transaction errors to ensure proper impact on perpetual and G/L records
  • Review variances to determine cause
  • Support business partners for NA Revenue to Margin Team processes
  • Assist with ad-hoc requests
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 2-4 years' experience in general accounting and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of GAAP (Generally accepted accounting principles)
  • Knowledge of Trane Technologies reporting structure and systems preferred (Oracle R12, OneStream, PeopleSoft Financials)
  • Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (with Excel emphasis)
