Registered Nurse II

At Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a Registered Nurse II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Job Summary:Under the general supervision of a senior nurse, the Registered Nurse II will provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level. This will involve utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process to deliver safe and effective care, while interacting with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired results.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and personal preferences.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to MUSC's documentation standards.
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, either from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, as required for most nursing areas within the hospital.
The Registered Nurse II will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
