About the Role

Ares Management is seeking a highly skilled Senior Portfolio Manager to join our dynamic Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and developing junior team members, as well as engaging with key team members across Secondaries Deal Teams, Accounting, and Investor Relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise analysts and associates to ensure the successful execution of portfolio monitoring and reporting tasks.
  • Provide ongoing training and feedback to staff and interns to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Work with investment professionals to assist in portfolio monitoring and perform detailed review of quarterly investment report valuations.
  • Prepare or review documentation for quarterly investor reports, as well as performance returns at a portfolio and fund level.
  • Review and understand complex fund vehicles and structures, and prepare or review analysis of valuation changes and drivers across portfolio investments.
  • Process investment amendments/consents with investment professionals and participate on investment update calls.
  • Review data utilized by Investor Relations as part of investor presentations and fundraising efforts.
Requirements
  • Minimum of B.S. degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
  • MBA, CFA, or CPA is a plus.
  • 8-10+ total years of related financial experience, which may include public accounting.
  • 4+ years of experience working in private equity or private real estate industry strongly desired.
  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office, eFront Software a plus.
What We Offer

Ares Management offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $150,000 - $170,000, as well as a discretionary performance-based bonus.
