Job Overview

MTS Systems Corporation is a leading provider of innovative solutions for various industries, including automotive, aerospace, and construction. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet market segment targets for volume, product mix, and margin.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in assigned regions.
  • Collaborate with sales teams and partners to ensure optimal coverage and drive business growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Utilize CRM for lead management and reporting functions to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery, installation, and support of products and services.
  • Develop and present proposals and quotations to customers to secure new business and expand existing relationships.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years of sales experience, with a proven track record of driving business growth and meeting sales targets.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to travel domestically 30-70% of the time.
  • Knowledge of competitive products and sales processes, with a focus on identifying new sales opportunities and driving business growth.
  • High personal discipline and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of test technologies and methodologies, with a focus on identifying new sales opportunities and driving business growth.
  • Ability to influence competitive opportunities in favor of MTS Systems Corporation.
  • Proven track record of selling standard and custom products, with a focus on driving business growth and meeting sales targets.
