Position Overview

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in mentoring junior staff and collaborating with essential team members across various departments, including Secondaries Deal Teams, Accounting, and Investor Relations. The ideal applicant will have a background in private equity or real estate funds, along with a solid grasp of fund reporting, partnership accounting, and performance evaluation metrics. This position requires a proactive and adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide analysts and associates in their daily tasks.
  • Provide continuous training and constructive feedback to team members and interns.
  • Collaborate with investment professionals to support portfolio monitoring efforts.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of quarterly investment report valuations, focusing on diversification metrics and valuation fluctuations.
  • Prepare or evaluate documentation for quarterly investor reports, including performance returns at both portfolio and fund levels (TWR, IRR, Multiples, etc.).
  • Analyze and comprehend complex fund structures and vehicles.
  • Prepare or assess analyses of valuation changes and their drivers across portfolio investments.
  • Process investment amendments and consents in collaboration with investment professionals.
  • Participate in investment update discussions and prepare or review summary memos.
  • Review data utilized by Investor Relations for investor presentations and fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a B.S. degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
  • An MBA, CFA, or CPA designation is advantageous.

Experience:

  • 8-10+ years of relevant financial experience, which may encompass public accounting.
  • At least 4 years of experience in the private equity or private real estate sector is highly preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office; familiarity with eFront Software is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base salary range for this position is competitive and may include a discretionary performance-based bonus. The range reflects a variety of qualifications, including years of relevant experience and educational background.
