Job Summary:

Under the guidance of the Director of Financial Operations, the Financial Manager of Accounts Receivable is responsible for the overall management, administration, and performance of the Financial Collections Team. Ensures that third-party payers and patients are billed accurately, and outstanding balances are resolved in a timely manner. Acts as an intermediary for both outside departments and Financial Services personnel in answering payer and/or patient questions. Responsible for developing/updating policies and procedures in accordance with established Financial Services goals, and ensuring that policies and procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and administer the Financial Collections Team to ensure timely and accurate resolution of outstanding balances.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with established Financial Services goals.
  • Act as an intermediary between outside departments and Financial Services personnel to resolve payer and patient inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Financial Operations to develop and implement strategies to improve financial performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years progressive experience in the healthcare financial field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, team building, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous management experience.
