Job Summary:

Under the general direction of the Director of Financial Services, this position contacts customers with delinquent accounts, initiates appropriate action, resolves customer disputes, and maintains computerized records to ensure the efficient collection of past due accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify delinquent accounts and take proactive measures to resolve them.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with customers to resolve disputes and ensure timely payments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all work performed on an account, including letters, telephone conversations, charges, payments, and other relevant documentation.
  • Audit accounts to determine the balance and provide documentation as needed.
  • Recognize and rectify any errors made within an account.
  • Prepare and communicate outstanding invoices, letters, or other documentation to customers in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of accounts being referred to attorneys for collection.
  • Maintain a courteous demeanor at all times when dealing with customers, even in challenging situations.
  • Assist in special projects as required.
  • Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be available and on-time for scheduled work shifts.
  • Required: Associate's Degree or higher in Accounting or a related field.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Preferred: Experience in Accounts Receivable Department or Collections.

Training and Development:

  • HIPAA Privacy Course
  • HIPAA Security Course

Compensation:

$18.03-$19.06 per hour. The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors, including relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
