Accounts Receivable Specialist

HealthDirect Pharmacy Services is a leading provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities, correctional facilities, and group homes. Our team has been dedicated to meeting the unique needs of our customers for over 50 years.
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for contacting customers with delinquent accounts, resolving customer disputes, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue delinquent accounts to ensure timely payment
- Communicate with customers to resolve disputes and negotiate payment plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all work performed on an account
- Audit accounts to determine the balance and provide documentation
- Recognize and rectify any errors made within an account
- Assist in the preparation of accounts being referred to attorneys for collection
- Maintain a courteous demeanor at all times when dealing with customers
- Assist in special projects as required
- Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs
Requirements
- Associate's degree or higher in Accounting or a related field
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Preferred: Experience in Accounts Receivable or Collections
Working Conditions
- Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Use computer technology to maintain accurate records and perform tasks
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members
Compensation
$18.03-$19.06 per hour, with the final offer determined after careful consideration of multiple factors.
