Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Category Leadership Team Lead to join our team at Campbell Soup Company. As a key member of our Category Leadership team, you will be responsible for advancing our Category Leadership with Kroger and Albertsons, driving growth and improved performance for our exciting brands, and leading customer penetration and development across multiple departments, functions, and levels at multiple customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team in developing category strategy and assist customers with integrated category strategy development across multiple customers.
  • Lead the team in providing strategic and tactical recommendations on Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, and Pricing (DSMP) goals to improve overall category performance.
  • Oversee the team's development of customer-specific presentations of relevant consumer insights, competitive responses, and new item/category selling strategies.
  • Provide input into joint business planning cycles based on knowledge of category and shopper trends, competitive issues, etc.
  • Develop strong working relationships with category buyers, leadership of varying levels, and cross-functional departments across multiple customers.
  • Develop direct reports to manage Category-specific customer calls, such as Category Reviews, Business Updates, New Item Presentations, and Planogram Work, which ultimately result in category, Campbell, and Retailer Growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years CPG industry experience, including 5+ years Category Management or Insights experience.
  • Category, Loyalty, Consumer, and Shopper Knowledge (Kantar, Mintel, etc.).
  • Experience pulling and interpreting IRI and/or Nielsen data (Panel and Scan).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinking.
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and with customers.
  • Problem-solving, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

  • This position works out of a home office, with a preference to be based out of Cincinnati.
  • Approximately 25% travel is required to customer and team meetings.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $105,000-$172,200.
  • Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
  • Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
  • In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k, and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
