The Transportation Program Manager will work under the guidance of the Alternative Transportation and Innovation Director, overseeing the implementation and daily operations of the state's new commuting benefits initiative through a sophisticated digital management system.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the department's expert on the digital commuting management platform. Recruit, train, and lead a team of 1-3 members dedicated to commuting support. Develop strategies to promote the appeal of alternative commuting options. Analyze user data to assess the effectiveness and attractiveness of the commuting program. Achieve and surpass established membership targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Ensure that benefits and rewards expenditures align with budgetary constraints. Collaborate with leadership on long-term strategic planning and budget formulation. Design and implement marketing and outreach campaigns to promote alternative commuting initiatives. Conduct surveys and studies to evaluate both proposed and existing components of the commuting program. Perform audits to ensure compliance with program requirements. Manage the recruitment and retention processes for vanpool participants. Address specific commuting needs in collaboration with various departments and stakeholders. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years in program administration and supervisory roles. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree. Experience: 3-5 years in program administration, including supervisory and data analysis experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and familiarity with digital management tools. Strong customer service background. Knowledge of best practices in transportation and parking operations. Ability to maintain accurate and detailed datasets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Physical Requirements:
This role primarily involves sedentary work, requiring the ability to sit for extended periods. However, some tasks may necessitate fieldwork, including standing, climbing, and walking.
Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is competitive and commensurate with education and experience. This is a full-time, exempt position with benefits.
