SCHEDULING COORDINATOR

Location: Springfield, Missouri

Role Summary:
Centralized Scheduling Coordinators operate within a professional office and call center setting, managing incoming calls from new clients to arrange outpatient and psychiatric services. They play a crucial role in shaping the initial experience for clients at Burrell Behavioral Health.

This is a full-time role that includes benefits. Standard shifts are Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with a competitive hourly wage of $15.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle all incoming calls to the Referral Office, directing them to the appropriate personnel as necessary.
  • Assess customer inquiries to determine service needs, including crisis situations, and process calls accordingly.
  • Schedule initial appointments for Outpatient and Psychiatric Services.
  • Verify availability for Initial Visits, Rafins, and Intra-Agency Requests for Concurrent Services for Outpatient and Psychiatric providers in the Southwest Region. Maintain the appointment system and ensure clients are scheduled correctly.
  • Perform clerical duties essential to office operations, including sending appointment letters, reminders, filing, generating reports, maintaining activity logs, and updating tracking systems promptly.
  • Utilize various online platforms and software to confirm client insurance eligibility and referral sources.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations consistently while interacting with clients and colleagues.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in customer service, call center, or medical scheduling
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong typing skills
  • Capable of building effective relationships through phone and in-person interactions, following directions, and accepting supervision
