Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled API Management Specialist to enhance our API Gateway capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in developing secure API solutions using Azure API Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and articulate system objectives based on user requirements and a comprehensive understanding of business systems.
  • Analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutions, considering system capabilities and operational constraints.
  • Provide expert consultation on advanced projects, contributing significantly to systems analysis while evaluating the business impact of technology applications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in creating and implementing high-security solutions utilizing Azure API Management.
  • Hands-on expertise with API Management platforms, including Azure APIM and Layer 7.
  • Solid grasp of API management principles and best practices.
  • Experience in establishing API architecture, integration, and deployment strategies.
  • Proficient in REST and SOAP protocols, with practical knowledge of XML and JSON.
  • Ability to execute transformations between various formats, including XLST, SOAP to REST, and vice versa.
  • Strong understanding of data security protocols, including OAuth 2.0 and basic authentication methods.
  • Experience with content-based routing and HTTP header manipulation.
  • Familiarity with API analytics tools such as Splunk and Azure Dashboards.
  • Knowledge of DevOps methodologies as they pertain to API management.
  • Proficient in API validation tools like Postman and capable of troubleshooting technical issues effectively.
  • Experience with Azure Functions and Logic Apps for serverless solutions.
  • Development experience in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, and C#.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Azure services and cloud computing fundamentals.
