Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and overseeing all functions within the unit during their shift.
In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established protocols, serving as a resource for staff and exemplifying the organization's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates admission and discharge processes to enhance patient flow and care quality.
- Engages in continuous assessment of patient care services in partnership with management.
- Fosters teamwork among staff to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Promotes a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
- Assists in staff scheduling and manages labor in line with patient care needs.
- Oversees inventory control and assists in managing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensure and Certifications:
Must hold a current license as a registered professional nurse in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
