About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Laboratory to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Las Colinas. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our laboratory services, ensuring the highest level of quality and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the laboratory's daily operations, including personnel management, point-of-care testing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to guide and support the provision of laboratory services.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure laboratory services meet the needs of our patients and medical staff.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting to laboratory staff.
  • Review quality control data and evaluate new instrumentation to ensure the highest level of quality and patient care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field.
  • Current certification by one of the following agencies: MT/MLS(ASCP) or categorical, MT(HEW), MT(AMT), CLS(NCA).
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in an accredited laboratory, with two to five years' management experience and/or other clinical progressive leadership/management experience.
  • Experience with point-of-care testing, blood banking, and other aspects of pathology services.
