Job Summary:
The Strategic Operations Director will work closely with the President & CEO to drive strategic initiatives, enhance organizational effectiveness, and ensure the successful execution of key priorities. This role requires a highly organized and proactive leader with a deep understanding of the asset management business, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Project Management: Effectively manage strategic projects and initiatives for the President & CEO, ensuring timely completion and successful execution.
- Strategic Presentations: Support the President & CEO in framing out strategic presentations, including research, data gathering, and chart/graph preparation.
- Board Support: Assist the President & CEO in support of the firm's Board of Directors, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Business Partnerships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business partners, including sales, marketing, operations, legal & compliance, finance, and technology staff, to effectively support and promote firmwide initiatives.
- Strategic Planning: Provide input for all strategic planning process improvements and operational efficiencies in conjunction with the President & CEO and staff.
- Sales Strategy: Partner with the Heads of Sales and Marketing to determine optimal sales strategy and efforts.
- Team Feedback: Provide a minimum of one piece of valuable feedback in Threads every two weeks for a team member.
Requirements:
- Leadership Experience: At least 10 years of professional experience overall, with a minimum of three years in a senior leadership role.
- Relationship Building: Strong relationship builder and communicator with experience leading diverse work teams, developing an organization-wide strategy for program excellence, and partnering with the President & CEO and board of directors.
- Integrity and Drive: Integrity and drive for excellence in work effectiveness and programmatic impact.
- Analytical and Organizational Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, presentation, and oral and written communication skills.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Asset Management Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of the asset management business and investment products.
- Continuous Learning: Comfortable working in a continuous learning environment.
- Education: Solid educational background, including an undergraduate degree required; advanced degree or other professional achievements preferred.
- Project Management: Proven track record of managing complex projects and driving strategic initiatives.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Discretion and Confidentiality: High level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools, with a strong background in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
- Business Travel: Flexibility to manage extensive business travel.
