Position Summary

As the National HVAC Operations Manager at Public Storage, you will have the opportunity to lead and innovate within HVAC management. This role is designed to provide a stable office-based environment with minimal travel, ensuring a harmonious balance between professional development and personal well-being. Join our Facilities team to enhance our National HVAC Program and spearhead strategic initiatives.

Travel Requirements: Less than 20%

What We Offer:
  • Competitive Compensation: Total compensation ranging from $150,000 to $185,000.
  • Customized Compensation Package: Includes base salary, bonuses, and equity awards tailored to your qualifications and experience.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Oversee HVAC management across our entire portfolio, ensuring optimal system performance and longevity.
  • Design and implement HVAC programs to assess asset repair versus replacement needs.
  • Utilize data analysis to track trends and mitigate HVAC issues.
  • Conduct site visits to validate significant HVAC projects.
  • Develop specifications, scopes of work, budgets, and manage design processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and expedite project approvals.
  • Apply value engineering principles to enhance performance and cost efficiency.
  • Identify and evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage projects from inception to completion.
  • Standardize HVAC system management processes and procedures.
  • Build strategic partnerships with vendors, consultants, and manufacturers.
  • Research and recommend HVAC products and specifications.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Provide emergency response support for HVAC-related issues.
  • Assist with due diligence during acquisitions and facilitate property transitions.
  • Maintain proactive communication with managers and team members.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years in HVAC systems management, with at least 5 years in consulting roles.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering, or related fields is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems, materials, and construction processes.
  • Understanding of budgeting principles related to HVAC projects.
  • Proven leadership and collaboration abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
